Yin Yoga is "the other half of the practice" - a slow, meditative space that helps us to cultivate inner stillness, receptivity and mobility. This training occurs of one 4 day long weekend, from Friday Morning to Monday evening.

During this 30 HR Yin Yoga Training, you will learn:
The history & development of yin yoga, including how yin yoga differs from restorative yoga
How to practice and teach yin yoga safely, including modifications for injury, hyper-mobility & pregnancy
An introduction to TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) which makes up the philosophical underpinnings of yin yoga
How to teach yin yoga - the use of voice, pace, music and presence to create a calm, relaxing environment for your students
Faculty:
Your lead trainer is studio owner, Cora Geroux, who has been teaching yin yoga for 14 years. She has been lucky enough to train with Sarah Powers (one of the founders of yin yoga) along with Bernie Clark, author of Yinsights, and founder of yinyoga.com.
We will also be joined by Kynan Wu, Yoga Teacher & Zenthai Shiatsu therapist who will share his wisdom on meridian theory.
Qualification:
This 30 HR Yin Yoga Training is a registered YACEP (Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Program). If you are already a RYT 200, upon successful completion of this course you are qualified to teach yin yoga. If you’re not yet an RYT 200, you are welcome to complete this course for personal interest, however, you will not be able to teach yin yoga without your 200 HR Certificate.
