Zenthai Shiatsu Tamworth

Zenthai Shiatsu is a therapeutic form of body work that engages the whole person - body, mind and spirit in the dance of movement, freedom and connection. Zenthai is a blend of yoga Asana, Thai massage, Zen Shiatsu and Osteopathic techniques integrated and woven together with focused intention at its core.

 In The Yoga Room

You may have already experienced a glimpse of Zenthai Shiatsu in our classes at Tamworth Yoga as we offer Zenthai Shiatsu inspired hands on assists in many of our classes. Whenever we have an assistant in class, you will be given a consent token where you can opt in or out of hands on assists at any time.

Naomi, our resident Zenthai therapist often assists our Yin classes - keep an eye out on the MindBody schedule. While both Cora and Emma have trained in the art of giving Zenthai inspired yoga assists with founder Gywn Williams.

One-on-One

Zenthai Shiatsu is traditionally practiced one-on-one like other forms of body work where your therapist will create a safe space to address your specific needs. Zenthai is something you need to experience to fully understand, however, here are some useful things to know before your first session.

  • As a Zenthai Shiatsu recipient, you will be fully clothed for the entire treatment

  • Zenthai sessions are conducted on special mats on the floor so you will feel grounded, safe and are able to stretch out fully.

  • Your therapist will move you around the mat (like an effortless dance) and to facilitate deeper stretching, as well as use their whole body to apply pressure and massage to release tension.

  • There is nothing you need to do, however, some recipients have described a Zenthai session like “yoga being done to you”

Naomi Austin is our resident Zenthai Therapist.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy We know things come up — kids get sick, life gets messy, or sometimes you just forget you booked a thing (we’ve been there ). Here’s how cancellations and reschedules work, so we’re all on the same page:

Need to Cancel? If it’s more than 48 hours before your appointment, you can do it online. Within 48 hours? Just send us an email — we check messages Mon–Fri, and we’ll always honour the time your email was sent, not when we see it.

Here's How Refunds Work:

  • More than 48 hours before your appointment → You’ll get a full refund

  • Between 24–48 hours → You’ll get a 50% refund

  • Less than 24 hours → Sorry, no refund — your practitioner has already prepped and set aside the time just for you

How Refunds Are Processed Refunds don’t happen automatically — once you’re eligible, just email cora@tamworthyoga.com to let us know, and we'll process your refund ASAP.

Want to Reschedule? Totally fine!

  • You can reschedule yourself up to 48 hours in advance online — easy peasy.

  • If it’s less than 48 hours, email us and we’ll do our best to help — just know we might not always be able to accommodate last-minute swaps, especially on weekends. Contact cora@tamworthyoga.com.

  • Each appointment can be rescheduled a maximum of two times, so choose wisely

Thanks for being awesome and helping us keep things smooth for everyone — our practitioners (and their calendars) appreciate it!
